بسم اللہ الرحمٰنِ الرحیم
When an inventor introduces a
new invention to the market, it comes with instructions and performance
manuals, commonly known as user manuals, to ensure optimal use. Similarly,
human beings are the most intricate machines in the universe, a collection of
interconnected systems operated by automatic processes. Just as a well-designed
product requires a user manual, we are provided with inspired books to guide
us. Hence, it is accurate to say that religion has existed since the dawn of
humanity. When the Creator brought the first man, Hazrat Adam (PBUH), to Earth,
He endowed him with humanity and prophethood. This allowed him to begin his
life wisely, seeking guidance from his Creator regarding his children's
upbringing, food, morals, manners, and society. Hazrat Adam (PBUH) was not only
the first human being but also the first prophet on Earth. As his descendants
multiplied and settled in various regions and continents, prophets continued to
come, offering guidance. Eventually, the last Prophet (SAW) came and delivered
the final user manual to humanity in the form of the Holy Qur'an.
Modern
man has reached the pinnacle of consciousness and awareness in history. Through
knowledge and inventions, he has unraveled the Earth's layers and explored the
heights of the heavens. There is no corner of the world beyond his reach. Yet,
he remains unable to answer fundamental questions: Where did he come from? How
long has he been here? Where does he go with his hopes, aspirations, energies,
abilities, and resources? The answers to these questions lie solely within
religion. As long as death exists, so will religion. Until humanity transcends
death, religion cannot be expelled from their lives. If we aspire to make this
planet the best place for humans, we must differentiate between good and bad,
legal and illegal, and right and wrong, setting standards for ourselves. This
is the purpose of religion. Religion instructs us on how to maintain personal
hygiene, keep our surroundings clean, purify our food and drink, and uphold
moral values.
Furthermore,
there are spiritual needs unique to human beings, as we are a combination of
both spirit and matter. Only religion offers the curriculum to transform
spiritual and mental concerns into comfort. Therefore, the notion of a peaceful
life without religion is a mere illusion. The most modern form of religion is
Islam, with Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) as the final prophet. His teachings and
actions provide the most perfect, beautiful, and exemplary model for humanity.
